I just heard Dr. Stanley's message today at intouch.org and as usual it was enLIGHTening and touching.
I recently heard this from one of my friends and wanted to share.
Why did GOD tell Moses to tell his brother Aaron to put his staff in the Nile to change the water to blood?
The LORD said to Moses, "Tell Aaron, 'Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt--over the streams and canals, over the ponds and all the reservoirs--and they will turn to blood.' Blood will be everywhere in Egypt, even in vessels of wood and stone." Moses and Aaron did just as the LORD had commanded. He raised his staff in the presence of Pharaoh and his officials and struck the water of the Nile, and all the water was changed into blood. Exodus 7:19-20Niv
Was it because Moses was previously saved by this Water?
Then Pharaoh's daughter went down to the Nile to bathe, and her attendants were walking along the riverbank. She saw the basket among the reeds and sent her female slave to get it. She opened it and saw the baby. He was crying, and she felt sorry for him. "This is one of the Hebrew babies," she said. Exodus 2:5-6Niv
Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the SPIRIT OF GOD was hovering over the waters. Genesis 1:2Niv
JESUS answered, "Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the KINGDOM OF GOD unless they are born of water and the SPIRIT." John 3:5Niv
The woman said, "I know that MESSIAH" (called CHRIST) "is coming. When HE comes, HE will explain everything to us." Then JESUS declared, "I, the ONE speaking to you--I AM HE." John 4:25-26Niv
JESUS answered, "I AM THE WAY and THE TRUTH and THE LIFE. No one comes to THE FATHER except through ME. John 14:6Niv
