Here is an 1875 Error United States Fractional Currency 50 Cents Note. This is part of a collection of estate pieces that will be auctioned this week. This note is miscut and it is an error- in all the paper money you have ever seen- did you ever see a note that had a continuous lip to it? I am not sure how a machine could have cut this? Was it cut by hand- and someone was in a hurry to get in their buggy and go to lunch? Very cool error note- probably should be certified- it is the oldest error note I have ever auctioned. If you collect United States Currency- you won't want to miss this auction. Hong Kong was printing one penny notes- Canada just recently stopped minting pennys- Does it make sense to start printing fractional Dollars again- rather than minting coins? Or with inflation rising and deflation in unison- is Dollar the new penny? With a 10% Flat Tax on everything- wouldn't that simplify everything? Everything means Everything. Less will result in more. My .02 :o). This 1875 United States Error Note will be auctioned to the highest bidder at $1 No Reserve.
